What is Wealth Exactly?

What the heck is true wealth? Just what will you be expecting should you get to the end of the gold paved road to monetary independence?
If you have a million bucks, are you satisfied? What about 10 million? Is true riches a numbers game or do various other elements enter into the actual equation?

Ebenizer Scrooge of Dicken’s -The Christmas Carol- ended up being quite wealthy for his time, but before meeting the three ghosts of Christmas past, present and future,
he lived a miserable existence, to poor to even warm his own house.

Meanwhile his clerk, with his numerous infants, was portrayed as satisfied and adoring - a great father.

Needless to say this is fictional, however is there any truth to the tale

A lot of people will continue to work more and more trying to accumulate a lot more wealth, yet a trite joke is that their last words are never: “I wished I spent more time at work. ”

For a lot of men and women the only real answer to the question; “What is true wealth? ", is definitely money pure and straightforward - the more money the better.

Others would be content to state that real wealth is finding the serenity of becoming freed from debt.
Yet another could claim he is absolutely well-off if he can lead the lifestyle he or she prefers no matter what cost.
Others might say genuine wealth is staying healthy and ornamented by loving family members and caring friends.
There are possibly as much answers to this concern as the're will be people to answer it.

You can reside in an enormous house on the hill, own two Mercedes or porches, heck why not even a ferrari or a lamborghini in the garage and a million in the bank and not enjoy life as much as the man who works in the gas station and lives in a 2 bedroom furnished condo.

True wealth is actually what one interprets it to be. And if it were not so, we all wouldn’t get policemen, firemen and troops who danger their lives guarding us all as opposed to wanting to work on Wall Street, making big bucks.

We wouldn’t have medical practitioners whom travel to third world countries, just to make an effort to make some difference, rather than to stay at home with a flourishing practice and a comfortable life.

We wouldn’t have the many volunteers this world has, who are ready and willing to help the sick, infirm or destitute - or whom suddenly turn up at disaster scenes ready to do almost anything to help.

This country wouldn’t have millions of people who give away billions of dollars annually to the charities of their choice.
So despite the fact that we focus on financial matters, it’s good to step back and realize there is more to true wealth than money.
I believe that having more than enough wealth to live a comfortable life would make all things possible.

I additionally think that being in personal debt is merely transferring your wealth to your debt collectors. Whilst it may possibly make these people, or their shareholders abundant, it definitely contributes little to your true wealth.

Therefore my answer will be adopted from Mr. Spock’s renowned Vulcan greeting: “Live Debt Free and Prosper. ”.
